"I couldn't shout, but I knew I wasn't dead," said the construction worker. Two weeks earlier he had been operating a nail gun at a construction site. The gun misfired. A three-and-a-half inch projectile buried itself in his chest. Doctors say that if the nail had landed a millimeter to the right it could have severed a major artery.
